Champagne
Champagne or Sparkling Wine is the most traditional way to celebrate an event.
The term “champagne” is used to refer to wine produced exclusively in the Champagne region of France. For related wines, Spain calls its sparkling wines Cava, Germany has Sekt, and Italy has Asti Spumante. The sweetness of a sparkling wine or Champagne ranges from:
- Extra Brut-Totally Dry –no added sugar
- Brut-Dry
- Extra Dry-Medium Dry
- Sec-Slightly sweet
- Demi Sec-Fairly sweet
- Doux-Sweet~can contain up to 10% sugar
